Read my block.

I had an early Halloween party this year. Ok, just a week, but still. I have always wanted to dress up as a Rubik's cube and HA! this was my chance! So I spent the whole Saturday to build and construct my costume. I don't know about you but I have never ever ever managed to solve one of these little buggers and so I decided to make mine "solved".  Did you know this magical puzzle was invented by Hungarian sculptor and professor of architecture ErnÅ‘ Rubik in 1974? Me neither!

I must say that everybody really made such an effort of dressing up, it reminded me of America. That's right, America, where Halloween is an annual holiday. Yikes!

Rubik's cube outfit+trampoline=better than stealing a kid's candy!

My friend Frances's smoking hot outfit!

So, if you ever feel like dressing up as a Rubik's cube or a hybernating fox, let me know! I'll help you!

Mom! You're face is on the Snowflake building!

First of all I would like to apologize for not blogging for the last week! If I was Brian Adams I would have sang "Please forgive me" right now. My camera and handbag got stolen out of my apartment, so I am a bit lost at the moment because I have no identification and no camera to take pictures to put on me blog.  But before I start feeling all sorry for myself again, here is today's entry which is all about my dearest mother!

My mom had breastcancer but she is all clear now which in cancerlanguage means she is a 'cancer survivor'. So, Wilmed Park Oncology decided for this year's Aardklop that they were going to ask some wellknown artists to pick their 'survivor' and tell their story through art. Three artist chose my mom(cool hey?!) and throughout the whole week their masterpieces were exhibited at the Snowflake building under the "Life's a journey" exhibition. Every piece was so beautifully put together and I was so proud of every person there for putting up a fight against cancer and winning the battle. I cried happy tears.

Did I mention that Daniel is a ninja?

Daniel is the coolest person in the world. I will marry him. He knows exactly how to make my tea (you must go to a special teamaking school to master this), he writes poetry and he makes furniture for me. I like him alot!

If this all sounds too good to be true, have a look at the pics below!

My Fianceeeeeeeeee, Daniel.

Nice and big for all my clothes!

This is my favourite!

Look how cool! He made this in an afternoon - this man is genius! (I got the chicken from my friend Ronel. Its name is Robin Kockedoodeldoo named after one of my other friends, Robin Kock.)

To order anything from above or if you have something in mind but don't have the tools or the time, contact Daniel on delangemirka@gmail.com or delangemirka@yahoo.co.uk

Cheers!

Inspiration Hydration Station Nation!

I decided to start living an uber healthy life. I started drinking 2 liters of water a day, eating 6 small meals throughout the day, make sure that I get my 5 fruit/veg in a day, took out a contract at the gym and although it's a bit of a mission for me to remember all the stuff I have to do, I must say that I feel fantastic! My skin is smoother than a baby's bottom, I feel great when I wake up and I don't want to fall asleep at my desk in the office at 11 anymore! I would say it's worth a try.

Today I'm posting up some photos of my inspiration station. I struggled for a long time to get into my creative bubble until I rearranged, cleaned-up and redesigned my workspace.  If you have the same problem, my suggestion is to do the same - get some Consol bottles to sort out your buttons, ribbons, etc. It helps alot when everything has a place and you know exactly where to get it. Jeeez, I sound like a mother now! But really, it helps!:)

This is where the magic happens! Put pictures of thing that inspire you on the wall.

I got these at Pick & Pay, cool hey?!

My Great Grandma's Bowling Brooches always inspire me!

I painted my table with blackboard paint.

I like me some nice materials!

Go on, go and get that Inspiration Station ready! I want to see those little hands make some pretties!
